A red wine from Jura, France made from Trousseau.
The Richard family bought this domaine from a neighbor in 1919; they have been making wine ever since in the Vernois, at the heart of the Jura. Now in the care of Pierre and his son Vincent, the nine hectares of vines sit over soils similar to those of Chateau-Chalon. The Richard wines are rigorously traditional. Pierre and Vincent use only indigenous yeast, and make the whole range of Jura wines, from Macvin and vin jeaune to ploussard and trousseau (which are always vinified separately).
